Nanjing City Commercial Bank (NCCB) has just adopted the name Bank of
Nanjing (BoN), as part of the bank's development and modernisation.

Bank of Nanjing benefits from an excellent reputation in the Chinese
banking world, strengthened by the support of BNP Paribas for more than a
year. The co-operation between the two focuses particularly on retail
banking, consumer credit (in partnership with Cetelem), risk management and
organisation. The initial results are very good and reflect the great
potential of this alliance.

Following the approval by the Polish Banking Supervisory Authority,
Fortis Bank SA/NV has finalised today the acquisition of 100% of the
shares of Dominet SA, the parent company of Dominet Bank SA.

Dominet is a full-service retail bank with 869 employees and a modern
nationwide branch network in Poland. It occupies a strong position in
the car finance segment and has a fast-growing portfolio of cash
loans. Dominet also supplies other banking products to retail
customers.
Dominet has the tenth largest branch network in Poland consisting of
184 sales points

Citi to Be One of First Foreign Banks in China to Provide RMB Services to Local Residents

Shanghai -- Citi China announced today that it has been granted final approval by the China Banking Regulatory Commission ("CBRC") to commence operations as a locally incorporated bank, and will be one of the first foreign banks in China to do so. As a locally incorporated bank, Citi will be able to provide unrestricted local currency retail banking and wealth management services to Chinese nationals, and will enjoy a regulatory framework similar to that of local banks. Citi anticipates being in a position to commence business as a locally incorporated bank in the coming weeks.

Mr. Richard Stanley, Chief Executive Officer of Citi China, said, "We are delighted with the opportunity that we have been given to broaden our service offering and we will continue to introduce world-class products and services to China that generate genuine value for our customers. Proposal to bring forward date of General Shareholders Meetings

The Board of Directors will propose to the General Shareholders
Meetings, which will be held on 23 May 2007, to re-elect as
non-executive directors Baron Philippe Bodson, Mr Jan-Michiel Hessels
and Mr Ronald Sandler for a three-year term. The General
Shareholders Meetings will also be asked to re-elect Mr Baron Piet
Van Waeyenberge, who will reach the 70-year age limit in 2008, for a
one-year term. Mr Jan Slechte, reaching the age limit in 2007, is no
longer eligible for re-election.

As announced in November 2006, the Board of Directors will propose to
the General Shareholders Meetings to appoint Mr Herman Verwilst as
executive director for a three-year term.

On 8 March 2007 the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas appointed Ms. Suzanne
Berger as Director upon the proposal of the board's Corporate Governance
and Nominations Committee. Ms. Berger is American and a Professor of
political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in
Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Director of the MIT International Science
and Technology Initiative. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts
and Sciences. Her appointment will be submitted for approval to the
Shareholders' General Assembly of BNP Paribas which will be held on 15 May
2007 in Paris.
