Vikram Pandit to Be Named CEO of Citi Alternative Investments

Powerful Combination; Adds to CAI's Base of World-Class Talent; Underscores Citi's Commitment to Growth in Alternative Investments

New York -- Citi and Old Lane Partners, L.P. announced today that they have reached a definitive agreement for Citi to acquire 100% of the outstanding partnership interests in Old Lane Partners, LP and Old Lane Partners, GP, LLC ("Old Lane"), the highly-regarded manager of a global, multi-strategy hedge fund and a private equity fund with total assets under management and private equity commitments of approximately $4.5 billion. Old Lane will operate as part of Citi Alternative Investments (CAI), Citi's integrated alternative investments platform. The financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Transaction Adds More Than One Million Clients and Expands Citi's Branch Network Six-fold in Taiwan

Taipei -- Citi announced today it had received approval from the board of directors of Bank of Overseas Chinese (BOOC) to proceed with the acquisition of 100% of the Taiwan bank for approximately NTD 14.1 billion (US$427.3 million), via a cash-out merger, at a price of NTD 11.80 (US$0.36) per share in cash, subject to certain closing adjustments. The transaction is expected to be accretive in its first year.

A group of major shareholders, including Polaris Securities Co., Ltd., Far Glory Life Insurance Co., Ltd. and APEX International Financial Engineering Research & Technology Co., Ltd., has agreed to vote in favour of the proposed transaction, in a shareholders' meeting to be held by BOOC. The operations of Citi Taiwan and BOOC will be combined following the consummation of the merger.

The combination of Citi Taiwan and BOOC will create a combined business with 66 branches and assets of US$22.8 billion, making it the largest international bank and 13th largest among all domestic Taiwan banks by total assets.

On 1 April 2007, the transfer of the private banking activities of KAS BANK
to Nachenius Tjeenk has been completed, following the approval of the Dutch
Central Bank. The transaction involved the transfer to Nachenius Tjeenk of
about EUR 750 million previously under management of KAS BANK. Nachenius
Tjeenk also acquired Associatie Cassa, the company within KAS BANK which
provided fiduciary services to private banking clients.

For Nachenius Tjeenk the acquisition represents an important step in its
development strategy to reach EUR 2.5 billion in assets under management.

Jersey/ London/ Paris - BNP Paribas announced today that they have signed
an agreement to acquire RBS International Securities Services (Holdings)
Limited, a 70:30 joint venture between The Royal Bank of Scotland
International and The Bank of New York.
